What changed for Nova Scotia heat pump rebates in 2026?
The biggest change is that Efficiency Nova Scotia's standard heat pump rebates now flow through a Home Energy Assessment: an energy advisor evaluates your home before and after the work. Federal oil-to-heat-pump funding for Nova Scotia is also being fully committed in 2026. We'll tell you what applies on the day we visit.
Do I have to pay the full cost up front?
Not always. Some programs pay the contractor directly, income-qualified programs can cover the whole cost, and in participating municipalities Clean Energy Financing lets you repay through your property tax bill. We walk you through the options in your quote.
Who fills in the paperwork?
We handle the contractor side — equipment specifications, invoices, installation confirmation. You complete the homeowner portion and we'll show you exactly what's needed.
Can I combine programs?
Sometimes. Provincial and federal programs have been stackable in the past, and low-cost financing can sit alongside a rebate. Eligibility rules change, so we confirm your combination before you commit.
